Christmas Picnic with Santayo and Friends!

Santayo girls were super late! Earlt bird sila Dino and Den! hehe...the new couple in campus! hehe:) Sarap ng food! thanks rizza for the spanish bread! thanks dino and den for the palabok... thanks girls for the pizza!

Knowing na last christmas na natin ito as students, sobrang thankful ako na i've spent it with you guys! sana tuloy-tuloy na yung tradition natin ng picnic! hanggang sa may mga anak na tayo! hehe! :p

Hope to see you guys after christmas...mag-mamarathon pa tau ng Metro Manila Film fest entries... ayoko lang manood ng Mulawin ha! ok na sa akin ang EXODO, Legal wife and Kutob... wag lang talaga Mulawin! hehe

Too bad i read it again before watching! Ang daming tinaggal na parts sa movie....
wala yung fireplace scene with the Dudleys! Wala rin yung Mauraders map and si Dobby....

Oh well...i think it will be more than 3 hours if Newell shot it detail per detail!

Ok lang! Astig pa rin yung movie!! I'll be watchin it again 3 more times... 1 with sila jiggy and dino siguro ulit.... 1 with my family and 1 with francine siguro like last year! hehe!

Can't wait for the next movie! Sana every year talaga meron harry potter movie kaagad!

I'm so happy for Warner Bros... the movie was the got the biggest opening so far compared to the other three films!! good job!! sana dumami pa sales para more budget for the 3 remaining films! Go Harry!

My 19th Birthday!

March 1, 2005 Tuesday

I really was not expecting anything fun for my birthday... with all the stress and schoolwork.. talagang i thought na my birthday is going to be a bad day... naisip ko pa nga na i have Finance class up to 9 in the evening.. kaya pagdating ko sa house... most probably....tulog na lahat ng tao.. lalo na mga kapatid ko..

But to my surprise... everything went well...
the moment the clock stopped at 12 midnight, texts messages came na...
The first to greet me was Karen.. I've known her since high school and she never forgets my birthday.. last year she also texted me the same time... grabe the consistency... hehe.. touch ako nun! The next 2 messages came from my bestfriend Ian and his girlfriend Abbey... siyempre...pagsiya nakalimutan niya pa yun... ewan ko na lang... lalo na birthday niya na 5 days after lang nung akin... Sumunod naman si Popi and Alexa... thank you guys.. sobra na-touch ako... sobra talaga... i tried staying up late para hintayin kung people still remeber me..
About mga 3 in the morning... sumunod naman si Den.. exag to si Den.. 3 text messages na magkakasunod... i was so touched by what she said.......then came text greetings from DJ (na nagulat ako kasi she remembered talaga), Yda, Queena, Ara, Ge, TJ, San, Ate Noy, Ate Wilma, Nik, San, Mig Molina, Rachelle, Ailish, Ate Gigi, Jared (na pinagmamayabang na hindi niya nakalimutan... totoo kaya), Pat, Denise S., Rics, Migs E., Jeff, Gino, Enrico, Cels, Cris, Kirsten (sobrang naalala niya po..miss u na!), Lime, Francine, Lemen at pahabol ni Ninang Malou, Mia (tnx for the hug) and Vida... Thanks sobra... your greetings made my day happy and fun..

Then, at around 11, i was still at home, my brother came from school....surprised me with a birthday card and a gift... my brother really likes giving me CDs... last christmas... he gave me a Bill Crawfor Cd... now for my birthday... he gave me a Christian Bautista CD... thanks so much...

After my Philo class.... my santayo friends... surprised me in Eeyrie with my favorite food... a Grande Vanilla Pearl Shake from Zagu.. with extra Pearls and Nine Pieces of my favorite Dunkin Donut donut (hehe), Nutty chocolate.. yumyum... thanks sobra to my Santayo friends... really appreciate it....

During Finance Class, Denise announced in class that it is my birthday... kaya nakantahan tuloy ako ng Happy Birthday ng Finance class... thanks sa lahat ng blockmates kod un.. sila Patty, Tal, Den, Marge, Joyce, Lala, Kris, Pom, Sherwin, Pao, Adi, Eunice... basta lahat kayo...thanks... Then, to my surprise.... ma'm dismissed us early... she ended the class at around 8:27... kaya i went home as fast as i could.. when i arrived at home.... my whole family was sitting in the dining area... preparing the food... my parents bought me a big chocolate cake, pancit (for long life), mechado (one of my favorite food), Chicken BBQ (Yum!!), Dinuguan (I really love this!) ... .. i was so full that day!...

To my surprise ulit... my sister Kaye, stayed up late and gave me a letter and a cd she made.. sobrang funny yung songs na linagay niya pero some were touching din naman... thanks so much.. and the letter she wrote... makes me wanna cry...

My sister Gillian naman... gave me a book... she said na she is as of the moment... bankrupt.. because of the book... thanks so much... alam ko hindi ka kumain sa school.... para lang sa gift... sira ka talaga... hehe...just kidding... iheard na you asked papa to give you money... sira ka talaga..

To my surprise... My birthday turned out to be fun, memorable and unforgetable... thanks so much for everything..

Whenever you wake up..... There is a plate of "tapsilog" on the table
Whenever you open-up your closet.... There is a perfect pair of clothes
Whenever you open you open your car... The Gas is full
Whenever you came to park.... There is a spot perfect for you
Whenever you eat at the cafeteria.... There is no one in line for you to easily get what you want

Everytime you check your cellphone.... There is no one texting you for anything
Everytime you check your planner...... There is nothing else to do
Everytime you compute your Class Standing.... You always make it to the Dean's List

Alam ko mahal ako ng aking mga magulang at na-appreciate ko lahat yun kahit yung pagiging strict nila paminsan-minsan.. Pinapayagan naman nila ako pero may mga pagkakataon na di ko talaga alam kung bakit, di talaga pwede..

Is it because of my age?? am i still too young knowing na i'm turning 19 in 5 months??
Kelan kaya? Knowing na i'll be working na after one more year in Ateneo?

Ah alam ko na! Baka pwede na ako pagkatapos ng college... wait wait.... pwede pa ba yun knowing na have more responsibilities and na hindi na ako in school?

Masaya pa kaya yun knowing na i spent my 4 years in college staying at home and not having that much of an experience with my friends??

Ay Salamat!

Tapos na rin ang sem! exag 'tong sem na ito... isipin mo marketing pa lang, talo niya pa yung CS30 na 5 units kung humingi ng mga requirements. Nakakastress yung marketing class natin pero masaya siya. Dami kong natutunan. Natuto akong maki-work with other people... astig pa grpmates ko tnx kay Ge, Migs, Pat, Lee and JB... Go Nike Confidence Suits!!! Dress to win!

Kahit na hindi kami naka-pasok sa competition, pinakita namin sa class na kahit all boy group kami, kaya naming makakuha ng mataas na grade. Kahit medyo deadly yung mga ginagawa namin like last minute editing and compiling, it paid off. Ang sya at tapos na rin... At least ngayon, alam na natin what to expect sa next marketing classes natin sa Comtech..

Tapos na rin ang theo namin kay Fr. Dacanay. Dati, nung nag-reg ako, akala ko na sobrang malas ko kasi wla ng naiwan pa na class kundi yung kay Fr. Dacs! Oo nga, tama yung mga peeps na medyo mahirap kay Father Dacanay pero worth it naman lahat ng hirap mo kasi sigurado ka na may natutunan ka. I think na babagsak ka lang sa kanya if you don't study at all. Taking his oral exams, grabe worth it din.. kahit halos mamatay na ako sa pressure ng pag-aaral at sa kaba before entering his room, it is all worth it.. Kaya for me, if you've conquered Father Dacanay's orals, alam mo na kung paano ka dapat mag-prepare for your other orals in Philo and Theo classes.. Di naman talaga scary si Father eh.. He gets mad lang talaga if you don't study at all. kasi naman, we are studying and dealing with very important topics about life diba? how can you not be serious in studying marriage and love. These tings are essential for our growth as human beings!! Kaya ewan ko na lang kung may mga hindi nakinig or natuto diba.. tip ko lang sa iba, wag kayong mag-cut! ang galing ng memory niya... kahit 160 students niya, he'll remeber you.. And don't be afraid to talk to him after class, sobrang friendly and approachable siya..!! Hay!!! buhay!!

Thanks pala sa ACTM! grabe! Isa sa mga reasons kung bakit masarap pumasok sa Ateneo ay dahil sa mga tao sa ACTM! grabe ang dami kong nagawa na hindi ko akalaing kaya ko.. Tapos may mga nagawa ako na dati iniisip ko lang.. Isipin niyo ang bait bait ng mga tao sa ACTM at sobrang supportive pa! Cla Chochay, Denise S., Nikki, Jeremy, Din, Jake, Alexa, Monette, Yda, my VP Vida and my co-avp, Rach! Exag kayo... you made my stay in Ateneo worthwhile... i got the chance to represent the org for the marketing competition. Ang dami kong natutunan from you guys!!! Ang dmi pa talag!.. i'm looking forward to working with you guys this coming semester..!!!!

Thanks din sa R1! Grabe ang dami niyo.. Kahit hindi na tayo masyado mag-kakasama, ang saya niyo pa rin.... Pampatanggal kayo lahat ng stress!

Exag! Lots of schoolwork!
Stress na stress na tayo!! Kelangan natin mag-relax pero kelan pa? Buti na lang may mga simpleng bagay na makapagpapasaya sa atin.. dapat kasi siguro medyo babawan natin ang ating pag-iisip kahit minsan.. kahit kapiranggot lang na cookie galing sa Food for thought, dalawang scoop ng BTIC, isang oreo mcflurry, isang hindi kelangan na gamit mula sa Natio!! Basta kahit ano.. Pagdating sa bahay, buksan ang TV at ilipat sa ETC.. baka matuwa pa tayo at ma-inspire sa OC, One Tree Hill, Queer Eye o Will and Grace. Kahit replay pa yan, matutuwa na tayo.. Pwede rin na kahit 2 oras lang sa mall para manood ng isang movie... yung entertaining at hindi panay isip.. diba? Kahit ilang minuto lang nagkwento mula sa iyong mga friends, sa inyong bench.. masaya na yun.. sapat na yun diba?? O bakit hindi natin ilabas ang stress sa pag-sigaw ng "Halikinu!" "One Big Fight!" at "Go Ateneo!" sa Araneta.. Hindi lang tayo ma-iinspire kundi pati sila LA at Magnum.. Why not?? Kaya natin ito lahat..

Love and Experience
Because love involves experience. Experience in the sense that we learn love through occurrences of relationships with partners. I am not saying that we should not put in mind that there could be a possibility that our first partners could be our husbands or wives. What I'm trying to say is that, it is unlikely and shouldn’t be requisite for finding a life-long partner. Having a relationship with someone for the very first time is like experiencing a time of getting to know ones self. It is a time when you get to recognize your qualities not only as a partner but also most importantly as a person. Coming into a relationship for the first time allows us to grasp our identities. Even our partner, if it is his or her first relationship, will also get a chance to get to know some of the realities about his or her identity. More importantly, through this first hand experience of a relationship, we get to know new truths about our partners. As M. Scott Peck said in his article, love is a self-enlarging experience and with this self-extension, we get to reveal who we really are to our partners. This on-going process of extending one’s self and the revelations that come with it, may allow us to recognize if we really want to spend the rest of our lives with that partner. This is why; having to have a first girlfriend/boyfriend does not guarantee us of future husbands or wives.
